My journey into quilting has been very exciting and continues to change as time goes by. After retiring as a District Manger from Johnson and Johnson I found that sitting still did not suit me. I quickly decided to turn my love of quilting into more than just a hobby.
Working with people has always been one of my greatest strengths, so teaching quilting was a perfect fit. At one time you could find me teaching a class at one of the local quilt shops almost on a daily basis. There were many days where I would teach a class during the daytime and another one in the evening. I continue to teach but have had to cut back on my schedule to accommodate my other activities.
Next came my involvement in one of the local quilt guilds where I have held various positions and including past President of “Quilters by the Sea”. I feel fortunate to be a part of a group that can affect so many others through their philanthropic activities.
Along with my best friend, Marilyn, I have started a business appropriately called “Two Wacky Women”. We are vendors at various Quilt Shows and host quilting retreats several times a year. The business is about loving what you do and having fun while you do it.
I am the designer of many patterns. Whether it’s a purse, tote bag, beach tote or quilt, I love the design process and teaching others. I would love to share my knowledge, experience and love of quilting with you.
